“As you sow so shall you reap.” Jesus, or Joshua ben Joseph if - TopicsExpress

“As you sow so shall you reap.” Jesus, or Joshua ben Joseph if you prefer, had a gift for presenting truth in an organic way, using nature as an analogy. Whatever seed you put in the ground, that is the plant that will grow. It’s inescapable. Though Joshua was referring to the results of our moral behavior, it is also a law of the universe that is often known as “causality” - defined simply that effects follow causes. It’s the only absolute law in the universe. Cause and effect is sometimes known as the “arrow of time” …events occur along the linear pathway of time. A cause always precedes its effect: the causal event occurs before the event it affects. Birth, for example, follows a successful conception and not the other way around. The arrow, once it is released from the bow will eventually reach its target. We can think of ourselves as the archer and our actions as the arrow being released. We set our course of action and whatever we decide will be, whether good or bad.
