As your birthday approaches I find myself reflecting on so many things. When you were first diagnosed with Wegeners we were given a 98% chance of remission with treatments. When we learned we may be in the 2% that would not survive I prayed day and night for a miracle. The prayers were not answered. It has taken a considerable amount of time, and reflection for me to realize that my miracle in life was in having you as my son. Im forever grateful for all that we shared. The pride I have in the young man you became is the only thing that ever dulls the pain of losing you. May God continue to hold you in his arms until I can get there to hold you again.
