As your coaches, we are all very happy to see everyone progressing in the box - achieving fitness goals, improving form, hitting new PRs, and pushing through the WODs. All of you have come so far since you started, and each day one of you does something better than the day before. We all have bad days, something we are not good at, or movements we don’t like doing. CrossFit is all about pushing ourselves to our limits, and when we think we found that limit, push PAST it! You are only competing with yourself, and becoming a better athlete. We may not say it enough, but we really are proud of every single one of you - CrossFitters and EGOFitters - and you should be just as proud of yourselves for walking through that door every day! Keep it up! :) We are all a family at AthleteEGO Crossfit - just a few reminders so we can all make the most of our time at the box: • Hygiene – let’s face it, nobody likes germs, or sweaty equipment. Please wipe down ALL of your equipment when you finish your WOD. This prevents the transmission of illnesses, staph infections, etc. We often just wipe down the equipment we last used in the WOD, but we need to remember to wipe down rings, rowers, pullup bars, etc. Hands/calluses often rip when using the rig; be mindful of this and remember to wipe down your area on the rig as well. Bringing a towel is also helpful to soak up your sweat when laying on the benches or doing floor exercises. • Clean up – put your equipment away when you are finished using it. Space and time is limited during the classes, we shouldn’t have to spend extra time cleaning up after each other. • Chalk – if you use it, wipe it up off the floor at the end of your WOD! We know some of you really LOVE chalk, and you feel like you need it for everything; but we promise you – you do NOT need chalk to do handstands, burpees, or pushups! • Help everyone out! – WODs are exhausting. We understand. You just want to sit down after a workout and rest. Don’t forget about everyone else though - after you finish, get up and cheer on other members that haven’t finished yet. We all need that extra push sometimes - that person in your ear telling you that you can do it and not to give up. We are all a family here; we workout together, we struggle together, we push each other, and we leave it all on the mat when we walk out the door.
