Asalaamu Alaykum wrwb - Rise and shine :) Seize the day - everything and everyone is an opportunity to do khayr (goodness) for yourself, and for people. See events or people as doors for reward that your creator has opened for you for your dawah via concepts and character, Go against the tide - walk a different path to work, speak to someone on the tube whos stuck in the rat race, read a thoughtful book or ponder instead of playing games or listening to music. Stand in a busy place and gaze up thanking your creator for life whilst hundreds are ignorant of their lord. Positivity - smile cos everyones miserable, be human cos everyones a robot, crack a joke cos everyones dull and angry, and remember all objectives of studying, working, sitting in a cafe staring outta the window are all actions that are performed to achieve a result or value otherwise its mindless . And have your purpose in mind with you at all times otherwise the dunya would have engulfed you and set the purpose for you. Be patient - take things in your stride and dont dwell on it. Someone splashed you with their car? Slipped or fell (especially on them wet soggy leaves) wipe, and walk on, complaining wont change it. Accept the bus being late or being squashed in central London underground because these are out of your control. Learn from these events by training yourself. Finally, look around at how many people are on their phones like you right now. Yep that guy with the blazer and black laptop bag, that woman wearing a skirt even though its freezing cold, that white middle aged man, short hair with white ear plugs staring over you at nothing but makes it out as if hes looking at something, and finally the one thats playing candy crush/sudoku next to you. Why are you different again?? ...glad tidings to the strangers.
