Asalaamualikum guys, tomorrow is the BIG day. Our first annual Muslims 4 Cure walk!!! This is will be our biggest dawah event. More than 40,000 will be there participating, so imagine the impact we can create when we all march together to support such a good cause. Where are we meeting? East 71st Street and 5th ave. When? 8:00 AM SHARP. Remember, it is a SUNDAY. Trains/buses are slow and parking will be a little difficult since thousands will be in the same area. We encourage you to bring your own signs and banners supporting your communities/masjids/clubs/organizations/businesses or just to show support. Come early and come prepared. It will be a little breezy so make sure you wear a long sleeve shirt with your #Muslims4Cure shirt on top. Dont forget to bring a water bottle, a little snack and some sun screen. Most of all, have good intention. This walk is being done for 2 reasons: 1. For dawah purposes. We want to show people that Islam teaches us to take care, visit and be concerned for those who are sick. 2. To raise awareness about breast cancer in our communities by understanding the importance of screening, check ups and research. There will be brothers with bright orange vests (safety/construction vests) who will make sure that we all stick TOGETHER through out the walk. Our main concern is for us to walk as a ONE UNITED body, to show the beauty of Islamic brotherhood/sisterhood. See you guys tomorrow! Sleep early and wake up early!
