Asalam alaykom, thank you Taleb Chahine Jibraeel Zein Ahmed Dehaini Ahmed Ali Haidar for the verse of the Quran nomination. Theres a prophetic narration that says: فضل القران على سائر الكلام كفضل الله على خلقه قال رسول الله (ص): The superiority of the Quran over other words is like the superiority of Allah over His creation. We are living in a time where we put more attention towards the messages we receive and read on our Facebook and mobile phones, while continually neglecting the messages Allah (SWT) sends to us every day. Therefore we should genuinely ask ourselves, which messages are more worthy of reading? Those on FB or the ones sent to us by Allah (SWT). This Quran is a clear book by which Allah (SWT) has guided His servants from darkness into light through His blessed exhortations. Yet we are still more attentive to the words of people over the words of Allah (SWT). In fact, the further we are from the words of Allah, the more we are negligent of our duties towards Him. For this reason, the verse I have chosen to share with you all is the final advice from the Holy Quran, revealed to the Holy Prophet (S) only days before his demise. It is the final verse revealed in the Quran, which seals and completes the revelation. An important verse that calls our attention to the duty we have before Allah (SWT) and instructs us to turn from the deception of this world, and to awaken to the reality that awaits us all. Allah (SWT) says in verse 281 of Surah al-Baqara: وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ “And fear the Day when ye shall be brought back to Allah. Then shall every soul be paid what it earned, and none shall be dealt with unjustly.” This verse reminds us of the Great day that we will all one day come to witness. A promised day of accountability, where no person will avail another. A day where all our deeds that have been recorded, big or small, will determine whether we are honored or debased in the sight of Allah (SWT). Imagine that moment, looking on with your final glances, truly realizing the lowliness and insignificance of this world. The person will truly feel he has heavily neglected his Lord, feeling regret for every moment of disobedience towards his Lord. A moment where the person will wish he can return to do righteous deeds, although time is up, and now its time to part from this world of deception to an abode of punishment or pleasure. I pray this short reminder will encourage us to ruminate on the verses of the Quran, so that we may become of those whose hearts are awakened when Allah is mentioned, and when His revelations are recited unto them, they increase their faith, and who trust in their Lord. I nominate Daud Webb, Taha Al Ameer, Hussein Dehaini to enlighten us with a verse of their choice from the Holy Quran. JazakumAllahu Khayran Also please take the time to reflect upon this beautiful episode of Guided Through the Quran. https://youtube/watch?v=Zv3uWxcu-TY
