Almighty Allah says: And those who hoard up gold and silver [Al-Kanz:the money, the zakat of which has not been paid] and spend it not in the way of Allah, announce unto them a painful torment.In the sunnah,our lovely prophet Mohammed (PBUH): said whoever is made wealthy by Allah and does not pay the zakat of his wealth,then on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be made like a bald headed poisonous male snake with two black spots over the eyes.The snake will punish him until Allah judges between people.so brths n sis in Islam, if Allah enriche u with wealth and property then is an obligation upon u to give alms to the poor,needy etc. for Allah to bless u.may Almighty Allah protect us, and made us a strong believers(Muslim)AMEN
