Asamoah Baby Jet Gyan, is often not fully appreciated by us, his country folks. But records of his internationals are indeed impressive. Maybe we were more patient with his predecessors such as Tony Yeboah, Kwame Ayew, Prince Polley, etc. than with him. But Gyan towers above them all! Gyan is the second highest African goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history, one goal behind Roger Millas five. Which means, next week, he has the opportunity to become the greatest. He achieved this in a generation of Drogba, Eto, Mboma, etc. By this, Gyan has more FIFA World Cup goals than Cruyff, Falcao, Torres, Kopa, C. Ronaldo, Del Piero, Messi, etc. This World Cup, Ill be cheering Asamoah Gyan instead of complaining. Has it occurred to you that we think he misses more chances than his predecessors, probably because he creates a lot more than any striker Ghana has ever had?
