Asbestos Surveyor Location: London/South East Asbestos Surveyor A UK based contractor with international experience and capacity providing highly competent asbestos management services, soft strip demolition, fire risk assessment, FIRAS accredited fire stopping, RoSPA accredited health & safety trainings and other environmental services.Recognised as one of the UK’s foremost specialists, with over 30 years experience in the safe control of hazardous substances with a streamline services that extends from surveying, investigation and analysis of suspect material to final safe disposal, offering a further range of services including leak sealing and the safe clean up of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials. We are looking for competent and capable asbestos surveyors to join our established asbestos surveying department. You will be working on a mixture of ongoing contracts in a variety of industry sectors (retail, residential or hospital/NHS) as well as undertaking project based R&D surveys for a wide range of clients from the construction & facilities management industry sectors. Main Responsibilities: Carrying out Pre-Refurbishment, Pre-Demolition, Management & Reinspection Asbestos surveys to UKAS standard • Carry out survey works according to project specific scope of work information provided • Carry out risk assessment • Aid in ensuring reporting turnaround deadlines are met by efficient submission of samples and survey information • Use database or FEL paperwork for survey completion dependant on project FEL surveyors are expected to have a good knowledge of relevant legislation, be able to provide informed advice to clients on site and in relation to projects worked upon and work independently and as part of the wider survey team. Skills Required: • Minimum of P402 (BOHS) qualified • Minimum of 2 years experience with a UKAS accredited company • Competent PC and Microsoft skills • Good organisational skills • Good communication skills & ability to liaise with clients Location: This position will be based at our London head office with the option to work remotely as far as possible. The majority of surveys for this role will be in London & the South East but there will be a requirement to work away occasionally as work demands require (working away rotated between surveyors).
