Ashburton College - Closed Tomorrow Friday 21 June 2013 2:56PM THURSDAY JUNE 20, 2013 Ashburton College Closed Tomorrow, Friday 21 June Although College was open today, a large number of students were unable to attend. We also had some icy areas, several areas of surface flooding, and water affecting some classrooms. The weather forecast for tomorrow is quite clear: It is going to be worse! Of particular concern is getting students safely to and from College, especially if roads and footpaths freeze overnight, or the threatened snow settles. This would also greatly affect our bus runs. We are also aware of the need to give families as much notice as possible, so parents and caregivers can make any necessary alternative arrangements. On balance, and with a focus on safety and conditions here on-site, the College will be closed tomorrow.
