Asheville Region: Join us for the first annual ESTEAM Expo on March 29th, 2014. ESTEAM takes the idea of STEM education a step further, encouraging and cultivating the creative and independent thinking that will motivate youth of today in becoming the next generation of STEM innovators. The ESTEAM Expo is the culminating event of the 2013-2014 Year of ESTEAM which was designed to engage students in ESTEAM disciplines and demonstrate potential career paths. ESTEAM is a collaborative effort between The Science House of NCSU, BioNetwork and BASE at A-B Tech. The ESTEAM Expo will be held at the WNC Ag Center. Local ESTEAM-related businesses, non-profits, institutes of higher education, artisans, and youth service providers will participate as vendors in the event that will be open to the general public. The purpose of the expo is to act as a pipeline for students and parents to experience the direct link between local ESTEAM opportunities for students and the educational track(s) that would make it possible for them to find their way into ESTEAM-related careers in Western North Carolina.
