Ashlee Status 8/5/2013 ---------------------------- The weekend was good. Ashlee has had the last of the catheters removed from her neck. She’s sat up in a physical therapy chair. She has a physical and occupational therapy evaluation session scheduled for today. From which an exercise and physical fitness recovery plan is expected. She has been taken off continuous kidney dialysis and has been put on a three day / week schedule. Her kidneys may come back on their own over the next few months. This has been their experience with liver transplant patients who have experienced liver and renal failure. I’m contacting UCLA’s Kidney Transplant Donor program today to discussion the evaluation process for living donor transplant. Ash’s spirits are pretty good. We’ve had several phone conversations over the weekend. She’s seeing the door out of there. How far away it is. And what she needs to accomplish to get through it. She’s thinking about after as well. Everyone tells you their story. You just have to listen to hear it. More on Ashlee’s progress later today …
