Asian stocks rose, extending the longest rally for the benchmark gauge this year, and emerging-market currencies extended gains before Chinese factory output and retail sales data. Crude oil slipped a second day and soybean futures retreated. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index climbed 0.6 percent by 9:28 a.m. in Tokyo, rising a ninth day for the longest stretch of gains since December. Japan’s Topix Index rallied a second day, adding 0.9 percent to be set for the highest close since Aug. 6. The Kospi Index (KOSPI) in Seoul gained 0.3 percent, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index (AS51) rose 0.5 percent. -Bloomberg Sep 10, 2013 7:30 AM GMT+0700
