Aside from the on the fly updates we will provide when something significant takes place, we thought it might be a good idea to do a weekly summary of whats been happening on the project, as lots of stuff goes on behind the scenes that we dont necessarily report on. We havent carried out any work on the bike this past week as Ian has been busy putting the finishing touches to a rather splendid Eddie Lawson Kawasaki Kipkawa which will be on display at the Stafford Classic Bike Show this weekend, but we have seen some significant contributions to the build. We have secured a healthy cash donation from a company called Asset Alliance who have also ordered 100 raffle tickets. Another company called Harsco have generously agreed to fund the building of the wheels which includes new stainless rims, stainless spokes and a refurb and polishing of the hubs. We have also had an offer of a GPZ1100 rolling chassis which we intend to strip and part out and are hopeful it will raise anywhere between £200 and £500. The Z1 owners club have been generous enough to allow us to use their stand at this weekends Stafford Classic Bike Show to sell some raffle tickets, so if any of you are down there, drop by and say hello. Were also on the look out at the show for a tank and seat combination which if found will signify the start of the build proper. We do have a back up plan for a tank and seat, but thought wed try the show first. Finally, the raffle tickets have landed, so all of those who have ordered through our website caferacer.moonfruit we will be posting out your tickets over the weekend. Well thats about it for now folks. We would like to thank you all for your continued support and look forward to posting some build updates very, very soon.
