Ask everyone about what they think about 2014 and I bet you they will all have different versions of account about it. Regardless of how blissful or cruel this year has been, Willy nilly, the year is closing its account. It doesnt matter if the debit side (sorrows, sicknesses, betrayals, failures, hardships, accidents, mistakes, insults, attacks lost of loved ones etc) outweighs the credit side (applause, praises, successes, breakthroughs, good health, promotions, employments, happiness, blessings etc). What matters is were gradually and steadily parting ways with the this good or bad year depending on each persons subjective evaluation of it. This should remind us if nothing at all that no condition is permanent. Yeah, some will take a cursory gaze through the endless list of resolutions they prepared for 2014 and be discouraged cos they rank very low in living up to it. It is not that what we listed in the resolution are too big a dream to live or too difficult a task to perform but perhaps, it is not the right time. I remember complaining to a friend at the end last year about how bad the year has been and how my high hopes for 2013 where left hanging prior to the arrival of 2014. This friend looked me in the eyes and asked quizzically Martin, do you think calendar year is Gods year? Hmmm. Well thats my question to all. Lets keep hope alive and cling on to faith. Gods time is the best not ours. But most importantly, before we cross the finishing line of the race of 365 days of this year, lets take time and assess ourselves to be sure we are in the lane God drew for us to run in cos some of us because of greed, impatience, malice, covetousness and pleasure try to play smart by moving to inner lanes in order to cheat and have what we should otherwise wait patiently for per the rules set by God. Hehe!!!! So lets do well to finish the race in our lanes...... HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FRIENDS. But its unfair cos some people are already in 2015 yet some of us arent. Lol.😝😝 All the same.
