Ask not what others can do for you, but what you can do for OTHERS. What have you done for me? Have you asked that question lately? “Give and it shall be given unto you” Whatever you are giving out will come back to you. If you dont feel like youre getting the love you should get, then maybe you should ask yourself if youre giving the love you should give. Too often we look only at what other people are doing for us instead of what we are doing for them. However, the Bible instructs us to look out for the needs of one another, to look for ways to serve others, and to walk in love with each other. What a person needs may not be what you think they need. Love is so important, because every person needs love. People in the world are hungry for love; theyre looking for a source of real, genuine love. Most people would probably say they desire an unfailing love. Real love never gives up, quit, grows tired and is willing to endure. We, as Christians, have an opportunity to give that love, which the world desperately desires and need. So instead of wondering why youre not getting the love you should get, decide to give the love you should give. What are some characteristics of real love? Glad you asked Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesnt want what it doesnt have. Love doesnt strut, Doesnt have a swelled head, Doesnt force itself on others, Isnt always me first, Doesnt fly off the handle, Doesnt keep score of the sins of others, Doesnt revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.
