Ask why is it that post 9/11 we have seem a surge in extremism? Iraq: Factor 1) the war in Iraq -We witnessed The illegal war in Iraq and consistent violation of human rights, torture, rape and British and American inaction towards these violations in Iraq -A pointless war which tormented millions of Iraqis, creating instability within the region, a region whose infrastructure and society was financially and culturally strong.
