Asked Whiskey to canter under saddle for the first time today. He picked it up as soon as I asked but proceeded to bolt about 10 ft before I could get him to respond to my commands. All in all, I was pleased that he didnt buck and quickly regained his composure. Its taken me an entire year to get to this point with him because of my lack of confidence in my abilities to train him. Im proud of myself today.
