Asked to do an inspection as to why this trim on bay windows were - TopicsExpress

Asked to do an inspection as to why this trim on bay windows were rotting I found that water was entering through a channel above the windows and running down the side channel and lying on top of the trim at the bottom of the window. Result over a period of time (three years) resulting rot from the inside out. It did not help to apply this trim work with open seam and filled with caulking. The builder is replacing all trimwork through out this complex now using AZEK. Should of used it from the beginning to avoid replacement.
