Asking for prayers for all involved in the fatal wreck of two school buses this afternoon on Asheville Highway just a few miles from our home. Details are still sketchy, but one bus apparently t-boned the other bus--not sure how or why. Both were carrying primary and elementary age students. Two children and one teachers aide lost their lives. Carroll came upon the accident shortly after it happened. He said 31 police cars, plus other emergency vehicles, passed him before he got up to the scene. My neighbors family own the bus that was hit and turned over. She got to the scene within minutes of being notified and discovered the three fatalities, all of whom she knows, were on her bus, probably at the point of impact. Her driver was trapped and had to be cut out of his seat belt. Please pray for these families who have lost loved ones today. The news has been covered all afternoon here in Knoxville; then I saw coverage on NBC Nightly News at 6:30. Im hoping that by making it more personal to you, my FB friends, youll lift these families up in their hour of need.
