Asking prayer warriors to lift Chris up in prayer. He has battled - TopicsExpress

Asking prayer warriors to lift Chris up in prayer. He has battled the lower back pain for over two weeks. He did the two physical therapy sessions last week, had a miserable weekend and attempted physical therapy on Monday. Due to pain, he was unable to tolerate physical therapy on Monday. I worked Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and was able to start at ground zero today with an appointment with his primary care doctor. The doctor gave him a steroid injection to help with pain and swelling, he will start on oral steroids tomorrow. The doctor felt, as did we, that a MRI was needed, so his staff got it set for this afternoon while we were still in Nashville, and ask for the results STAT. He will be flying to Germany tomorrow and be out of his office for two weeks. We get to Premier Radiology, get registered and sit down. All of a sudden, a patient in an electric wheelchair rams into Chris, knocking him backward. The patient was clearly on tooooo much pain medication and said she had not had food and that she was suppose to take the pain meds with food. She then proceeded to pull out a pouch of pills to offer Chris! Luckily a staff member stepped in to get her to back up and leave our space. Well, attempt one at the MRI failed as he was unable to lay flat. He stayed there, I went to have pain med prescription filled (should have taken some from wheelchair driver [ha]. Get back, he takes medicine, they wait and try again, which was a failure. We go back Monday for attempt three. PRAY that the steroid shot, along with the oral steroids, will help with the pain, and the pain pills, and that Monday will be successful. If he cant do Monday, we will have to go on Thursday and he will be sedated for the MRI. They only do sedation on Thursday. PRAY for some relief of the pain.
