Aspen was surprised by his good friend Nate Damashcke and family today! He was super surprised and is still grinning from the visit! He is doing amazing and is gaining strength and spunk everyday! Today was a HUGE and long -awaited day .... The docs removed his foley and this is the first day he has peed in 9 + years! His bladder is the size of a tennis ball so he is constantly racing to the bathroom. He doesnt seem to be bothered by it at all though! :) His appetite is increasing and he is on very few pain Meds now. We will be going home on Wednesday of this week but will be back each week for IV infusions and check ups. He has a pretty strict regimine once he gets home: blood draws 3 times a week for the next 6-8 months, IV infusion twice a month for the rest of his life, lots of anti rejection Meds and most importantly keeping his kidney hydrated with at least 2.5 liters of fluid each day. We are all so blessed that this gift has come into our lives! Many prayers have been and continue to be answered and we are forever grateful!
