Aspire - Athlete of the Week - Emily Donnay Kimball Area High School Cross Country - Runner Although she’s only participated on the Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball cross country team since her junior year, Emily Donnay has found instant success as a runner. In her first season, Emily received All-State honors and placed 10th in state. This year, the senior captain has won every single race, has broken numerous school and personal records, and is currently ranked 2nd in state. In addition to running for the cross country team, Emily also participates in basketball and track and field. Her hard work ethic for athletics transfers over to all other aspects of her life: she is a fantastic student who takes several AP courses, routinely spends time visiting members of a local assisted living facility, and volunteers in various roles at her church and on her family’s farm. Head coach Holly Hansen describes Emily as, “an extremely coachable individual who consistently gives 100% at every practice and competition.
