Assads authorities agree to arm Aleppo Businessmen: documents: Documents obtained by Zaman Alwasl showed that Bashar al-Assad’s Authorities had agreed to arm Syrian Business men, especially in the embattled city of Aleppo over security precautions. Activists said that most merchants of Syrias commercial capital had build up strong ties with Assad’s regime, as many of them have been supporting the army and Shiite militants by money. Despite the old documents, dated on March 27, 2012 and issued by Aleppo Commerce Chamber, Activists keep saying that unannounced convention between Aleppos businessmen with Regime. Syrias nearly three-year conflict began as popular protests against four decades of Assad family rule but changed into armed insurgency under a security force crackdown. More than 140,000 people killed and over 6 million - more than a quarter of the population - forced to flee their homes.
