Assalaamualaikum ! A whisk come true is back from winter break alhamdullillah! It was much needed and helped me revisit my goals in life. I also took time out to take a closer look at the beautiful world Allah Subhanawataala has created especially for us. I am juggling with a lot of different responsibilities nowadays but I would love to start taking orders :) in order to avoid getting burnt out I am introducing a simple new concept 😋. I will announce one goody from our menu as that particular weeks special and will take as many orders as possible for that :) You can inbox your orders any time of the week. When I have booked maximum number of orders Ill simply post that orders are closed for that week. The next special will be announced the weekend before. Inshallah orders can be picked up or delivered via Delivery ChaCha. So GOODY OF THE WEEK 5th to 11th of January 2015 is..... BUTTERSCOTCH BLONDIES WITH TOASTED PECANS AND WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIPS! Minimum order is box of 8 :) This is my new personal favourite and everyone who has had the opportunity to eat it has raved about it alhamdullillah .... It sounds just right for winters and is a change from the usual chocolate stuff :) not that I dislike chocolate .... I mean chocolate is divine ... But its good to try other stuff as well from time to time 😆 Blondies, or you might know them as Butterscotch or Blond Brownies, are a dense and chewy bar cookie that have a wonderful butterscotch flavor. Blondies are said to be related to the Chocolate Brownie, although they do not look or taste like one. It is a little confusing as Blondies are not made with dark chocolate so the only real connection to the Brownie comes from the way they are made and their ingredients. If you think about it, the batter is more like a chocolate chip cookie batter; full of butter and brown sugar, with the added touch of toasted pecans and white chocolate chips. This recipe makes blondies that are perfectly dense with a paper-thin crinkly top. They are complex with lots of vanilla and brown sugar. They taste like deep, rich buttery caramel. It combines the buttery flavor and chocolate chips from everyones favorite cookies with the appealing texture of the best brownies.
