Assalam Alaikum Dear ISBCC Community: InshAllah today Imam Suhaib will be addressing Bill Maher’s comments over the past week. As we get prepared to hear our Imam’s khutbah, the ISBCC would like to ask our community to thank our dear brother Ben Affleck for standing up for our community against bigotry. As Muslims we are a people of gratitude. Our daily salats (prayer), as we are well aware, are a form of shukr (gratitude) to Allah, and the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) said: “Whoever does not thank people (for their favors) has not thanked Allah (properly), Mighty and Glorious is He!”. Please take a minute to thank Mr. Affleck by tweeting, facebooking him or by any other means of communications. Let’s lead the Muslim community in this act of gratitude.
