AssalamAlaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. || Hasten towards Repentance...Do not let the Sins Trick You! || There are those who do not see the effects of a sin, and they are tricked by it. They dont realise that the sin can take effect after a while. (Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullaah) ~ ad-Da ; p.64) __________________________________________________ Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic says: Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]. [Surah ar-Room 30:41] __________________________________________________ Narrated `Abdullaah bin `Amr (may Allaah be pleased with him) : Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq (may Allaah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet (peace be upon him) : O Allaahs Apostle ! Teach me an invocation with which I may invoke Allaah in my prayers. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, Say: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، وَلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مِنْ عِنْدِكَ مَغْفِرَةً، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ . O Allaah ! I have wronged my soul very much, and none forgives the sins but You; so please bestow Your forgiveness upon me. No doubt, You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [Sahih Bukhari : : Vol. 9, Book 93, Hadith 485]
