Assalammualaikum wr wb and good morning to all. I came across this article about Young Living Palo Santo essential oil and thought of sharing with you. Gary (The founder of Young Living, Dr Gary Young) discovered the Palo Santo tree about six years ago in Ecuador. Another name for the Palo Santo is “Holy Branch” where it was used in spiritual rituals. It is similar to the Middle Eastern and African cultures where frankincense is used. Palo Santo is most widely used in Peru and Ecuador where the bark is cut into strips, put in baggies, and sold worldwide as an insect repellent where they put the bark in campfires. It has also been used to keep lice and tick away which is very beneficial in the bush and jungle. The Palo Santo tree is protected by law and cannot be cut down, unless on private property. One day Gary saw a man clearing his land of Palo Santo trees and asked if he could have one of the trees. He was allowed to take the tree back to his lab in Ecuador where he did everything he could think of to extract an oil from it, but with no luck. He noticed that the sap runs down the tree in crystals where you can find crystal resin puddles on the ground. He discovered the Palo Santo resin doesn’t produce oil. Gary spent two years searching for a way to make Palo Santo oil. In his searching to make Palo Santo oil, he discovered that it takes five years after the dead tree has fallen to the ground to acquire the Palo Santo oil. When you cut into the dead tree, you can see oil canals in the dead wood. There are 3 types of Palo Santo trees: red, white, and pink. Young Living has the red Palo Santo tree on the farm in Ecuador, which is the highest in the compound limonene. Limonene has been found to be anti cancerous and antitumoral. It has been used in Gary’s clinic for four years intravenously for lung and prostrate cancer. Palo Santo, great for any respiratory viruses, can be used orally or topically, diffused, put under the tongue, in water to drink, massaged on spine, put on chest, mixed with V6 oil and put up the nose, and placed on cotton balls for ear aches. One patient used it for nasal polyps by putting the Palo Santo on a cotton swab and then rubbing the swab in the nose. He did this for about six weeks when the polyps dissolved, and haven’t returned. For eye inflammation, rub around the eye 1 drop Palo Santo and 1 drop Myrrh, keeping eyes closed until the vapors flash off. Once the infection is gone, mix Palo Santo with Frankincense, or rub Idaho Balsam fir with Frankincense, or Sandalwood with Frankincense, around the eye to change the DNA and make healing permanent. Do this any time you feel the tissue has been compromised. Gary told us about a study documented in Australia where a marathon runner who had no cartilage left in his knees and was in lots of pain, used Palo Santo by rubbing it onto his knees. After a time, the cartilage grew back and the marathon runner was no more in pain. Many people have used Palo Santo topically for arthritis as well. Gary recommends that it is always wise to do a skin test on the inside bicep before using any oil to learn your body’s sensitivity. Always use caution until you know, especially with children. Use it. Find out what works for you. Only Young Living has the oils of Palo Santo and RutaVala, oils no one else in the world has. We are also the only ones in the world to have Ecuadorian Oregano, which has recently been proven to be three to five times more powerful than Penicillin.
