Assalamu Alaikom wa Rahmatullah! (7/3/14) Tonights Challenges: Primary Challenge: Find the Ayah! Read and try to memorize it and then comment under this post which rak’a you hear it recited in. Were starting off tonight with Surat Al-An3am (The Cattle). This surah begins by talking about the many signs Allah swt, signs that are so clear to see, but only if we open our eyes and hearts to them. We live in a place where different beliefs and practices surround us - knowing how the prophet pbuh dealt with this teaches us how to go about doing so ourselves. We learn not to become frustrated, and instead to be patient with those rejecting the message. We are advised to remain peaceful and give calm and beneficial advice and are told not to sit with those who ridicule Islam. And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, This is not but legends of the former peoples.
