Assalamu Alaykum, brethren. Yes, it`s Monday! To many, it means market, business, work, ventures, and so on. Yes, we all desire increase in goodies. So, I`ve come to remind us of Allaah`s proposal for us; His bargain for you. He says, “O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a trade that will save you from a grevious penalty? That you believe in Allaah and His Messenger, and that you strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allaah, with your property and your persons: that will be best for you, if you but knew! (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful Mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the supreme achievement.” [Q61:10-12] Beautiful! What a proposal! Allaah made proposal, state the terms, and gave the outcomes to expect. We now have the choice whether to trade with Him or not. But listen, He didnt stop there. Of course, He knows we would we would ask for something else, especially pertaining to this world, so He says in the next verse: ”And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love - help from Allaah and a near victory. So give glad tidings to the believers.” [Q61:13] My dear brothers and sisters, what else do you want? Why dont you just make up for mind to sign this deal with Allaah? Why not accept these terms and conditions for a blessed life and beautiful hereafter? I remind you and myself today, as we rush up and down seeking bounties, that we have a set proposal from Allaah. Just to append our signature on it, and everything will just be fine with us. Of course, everything! His words are true. Absolutely true. Please permit me to conclude with this verse from Suratul Nisa`, “...Say: short is the enjoyment of this world: the Hereafter is the best for those who do right; never will you be dealt with unjustly in the very least.” [Q4:77] As you can see, even though Allaah`s proposal to us in the previous verses includes the blessings of help and victory from Him. However, this particular verse reminds us never to lose focus, never to be taken away by the deceit of this world. For it is short, shorter than you can imagine. May Allaah guide us to His pleasure. Dont lose focus, brethren. Trade with Allaah; it pays, utmostly. Have a pleasant week. Ma salam.
