Assalamualaikum, The Real Deal is truly a big deal! It will be difficult for people new to such concepts and especially given the fact that we have all been bred up until now to think in terms of western concepts. My advice to all my beloved friends and students is to look at things very logically and simply. There are 3 main things to learn about business: 1. 10 things to know before learning about the fiqh of business. 2. 8 transactions that scholars agree are haram 3. 2 transactions that scholars disagree on their permissiblity. Then when you have understood them, only then try and apply them in modern transactions as outlined in the notes. In each of the 20 things above, make a simple half page summary - try drawing a diagram or using keywords to summarize them. Then stick it up on your study table and look at it every day for 2 minutes each summary. Believe me - I used to do this after taking lessons with our Sheikh - and in this way, anything that was difficult or had too many complex issues to discuss was made easy walhamdulillah. Remember dont leave things till the end. Just try your best to revise a little bit every day. This is the only way to really understand it. Our sheikh used to tell us to study his notes 20 times.
