Assalamualaikum & blessed Friday to all... No amount of words can express our gratitude for all your prayers and well wishes. It was intended to be a simple affair; the proposal was just a month ago and the prep on our end was just over a week. But the people who made it happen yesterday... Allahu akhbar... may Allah bless your kind and sincere souls for working very hard over the past few days. Apologies for any imperfections; for any of our shortcomings in hospitality yesterday. Special thanks to the following people: My talented cuzzy, Jiman Aniq Raiyan and his mom Cik June for all the beautiful deco for gift exchanges and at the makan place. Cuzzy Fadil for being the best bestman. Aida Saini for the gorgeous hijab and for being my confidante throughout. Kak Roszilah M Nor and the Heiraz team for the yummy pastries. Kak Harfa Abdul Karim from Makmur Restaurant. Kak Mastura Esnain from Anggun by Mastura for the simple make-up I requested and the gorgeous dress. Kak Zar Wright for the sensuous experience at Wayan Retreat. (My first time mandi bunga!) Alfinda Maria for the weeks leading to yesterday driving me around and for accompanying me to spa, facial, all my nonsense, etc. Deepak Citranjan for jumping into action upon activation just the day before. (If not I would not have photographs!) Noraini Yeo and Zuhaina for being excellent coordinators. Endang for being a pro videographer. Renee Ismail or being the disciplinarian. (Hidden talent you have!) Sussi Hashim, Arin Escada, Aisha Azhari, Khairunisa Kassim, Aidah Isa, Mirah Bella and my biological sister Nadhirah for all the nitty gritty and sponsorship (cakes & deco). Sister Sharifah for the lovely niqab. Such a small world! Our husbands know each other! Hamizah for rushing from the airport. Most importantly, jazakAllah khayr to Ustaz Zahid for the solemnisation ceremony, as well as Ustaz Noor Deros for introducing Taufeeq to me a year ago. The addresses yesterday were meaningful and heartfelt. We will remember it dearly. Ibu, ayah, mak, bak and all our family members. All your dua made the best gift to us.
