Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh my dear brothers and sisters, Alhamdulillah, it has been such a great blessing from Allah the Almighty that we have witnessed yet another inspirational Twins of Faith Annual Islamic Conference at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne & the University of Western Sydney, Parramatta in Sydney over the long weekend 18-20 April, 2014. So what happened? We had a remarkable line up of world-class speakers who covered a range of beneficial topics and shared some wonderful advice that will benefit us all, InshaAllah. May Allah (SWT) protect them and preserve them and their families. We also had outstanding performances from local and international entertainers that gave the event a vibrant feeling Alhamdulillah. We were delighted that we were given the opportunity to host delegates from all over Australia, Malaysia, Canada, UK and New Zealand and the 5000 people who attended the conference in Melbourne & Sydney. In spite of a few minor operational issues, Alhamdulillah, we have received many fantastic responses from the community regarding venue, tantalizing food, exciting kids programs, mum’s retreat and the amazing line up of speakers and entertainers. Such positivity goes a long way in inspiring us to organise more & better conferences in the upcoming years inshaAllah. Without you, we would not be able to organise such a beneficial event. - Our conference team of over 150 brothers and sisters that worked tirelessly for 3 days in Melbourne & 2 days in Sydney for the sake of Allah. - The families of everyone involved for their incredible support and for their patience and understanding over the last few months. - The stall owners for your support in making the environment an amusing and compelling place, may Allah (SWT) reward you and give you immense success in your businesses. - Our fabulous community for your support by attending the conference. We all know the number of hours and the long days and nights that went into preparation for this conference, and only Allah (SWT) can truly reward you all in this world and the hereafter as no good deed with sincerity goes to waste. Where to next ? With this years Twins of Faith conference now behind us, we at Mercy Mission continue working on some exciting plans for our various programs. Watch this space for - Major re-developments of the Melbourne Madinah - With the National Zakat Foundation Australia now being a registered charity, there is significant expansion in the pipeline. - New & exciting courses by Alkauthar Institute (First one is on in a couple of weeks - Parenting Matters by Sheikh Alaa Elsayed!) - Extension of the Media team to broadcast more TV shows in Australian Free to Air TV - Increasing roll out of Clothing for Dawah bins - Amazing upcoming Ramadan programs - A new Madinah in Sydney!
