Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathu brothers and sisters! I want you to think for a second. Would you enjoy eating grass to stay alive? Cardboard? Living in the most dirtiest living conditions? Have you ever lived without a home? Do you even know what that feels like? Im sure you would not want any of that for yourselves. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said : None of you will believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself. Related by Bukhari & Muslim Putting aside all the political issues, this is the reality of many children in Syria. As Muslims, we shall never truly believe, and all of us are striving to become true believers on a daily basis. Even, from a socio-moral perspective Im sure you would agree that there is an urgent need help out our fellow human beings. My very talented high school friend Fatima Fasih has started a wonderful initiative for the beautiful kids of Syria. She has painted a series of paintings made from actual images of Syrian children affected by the current crisis within Syria. Her work reflects her passion, which in turn expresses the emotions of the children very distinctly. You have a chance to win these original paintings, T-shirts and a skype session with youtubers Mohammed Zeyara and Saif Shawaf. inshaAllah Allah SWT will question each and every one of us about what we did to help our brothers and sisters. So I urge you to support her latest initiative and donate to the cause. And if you cannot donate, please share this and make dua.
