Assembly aspirant expresses optimism on victory By LADI EMMANUEL PLATEAU State House of Assembly aspirant for Langtang North-North Hon. Isaac Gono, has expressed optimism that the Peoples Demcoratic Party (PDP) will win the presidential elections in the state. Hon. Gono stated this while in a parley with some Journalists at the Plateau Club in Jos, Saturday. He assured that if elected into the state House of Assembly he will give quality and credible representation and initiate laws that will address the yearnings and aspirations of his constituents. Hon. Gono who is a former Secretary of Langtang North, the immediate constituency of pioneer National Chairman of the PDP, Late Chief Solomon Lar, said that Plateau have been PDP state since inception and that the party was prepared for a tremendous victory in the state and Langtang North in particular. He maintained that arrangements are in top gear by his constituents to enable him pick the PDP ticket to contest the elections, which he said has been alone successfully. According to him “ l have purchased the nomination and expression of interest forms and by the grace of God, l will do all the necessary things to ensure victory during the PDP primaries l have gone round the constituency and l have told them what l have for them”. He said that “as a politician, l have interacted with the people as we go about our daily activities, so the might of the people will be my priority if given the mandate. We have numerous challenges in the constituency and l am coming with a different approach from what others have applied and l believe that l will overcome most of the challenges. I intend to come up with a robust legislation that will add more value to law making in the best interest of the entire state. He called on his people to give him the mandate, as he will not disappoint them as others did when given the mandate, they never return back to their root as expected of them.
