Assemblywoman Kim responds to Governor Browns inaugural address: Assemblywoman Young Kim, R-Fullerton, today issued the following statement in response to Governor Jerry Brown’s 2015 State of the State address: “Today, I was honored to witness the historic inauguration of Governor Jerry Brown. I offer him my sincerest congratulations as he begins his unprecedented 4th term as the Governor of California and I am excited for the opportunity to work with him in the year ahead. “While we have many common goals, I was disappointed by the fact that while our college students are facing a 25% tuition increase, the Governor continues to dedicate precious tax dollars to frivolous pet projects like the High Speed Rail. This year I introduced legislation that would freeze college tuition for as long as the Prop. 30 education tax is in place. We need to prioritize higher education and stop the practice of balancing our state budget on the backs of struggling college students...
