Assistant Departmental Sales Manager Responsibilities: In charge of Branch department (include women, mens &home &lifestyle) •Responsible for the well-being of sales associates and supervisors •Organising Customer Care Activities and Product Knowledge Sessions •Analysing Sales Trend and generating A&P solutions •Optimising the Sales Floor in terms of Sales Mix and Stocks allocation to increase overall $psf •Minimising Stocks and Cash-Till Shortages •Plan and run offsite atrium/roadshow events •Involved in the expansion of the department •To be responsible and accountable for the commercial management of designated departments of the store, maximizing sales and minimizing losses. •To be an effective member of the store management team contributing to the setting, monitoring and achieving of targets and objectives for the department. •To ensure all Company’s policies and procedures are implemented as required. •To manage staff, merchandise and space to ensure the highest standards of service is being offered. •To maximize sales and commercial opportunities in the following areas: - •To actively implement sales promotions and follow the selling plan given by the Departmental Sales Manager. •Pro-active in seeking ways to increase sales within the department. •Ensure the optimum stock availability. •To provide a comfortable and convenient shopping environment by maintaining effective merchandise displays and clear ticketing. •Ensure all staff adhere to the service standards required. •To handle all enquiries quickly and effectively in a helpful and friendly manner. •In liaison with Departmental Sales Manager ensuring that the department’s merchandise layout is presented and associated in accordance. •To work with the Visual Merchandising Department to ensure the best use of the space available by using the correct interpretation of commercial information and current merchandise group’s policies. •Maintain and monitor the supply of stock to the sales floor to ensure maximum return on the investment in inventory •Monitor the consignment goods sales performance and be fully responsible for stock replenishment or returns. •Take joint responsibility for the stock in the warehouse and ensure clearance of slow selling merchandise at minimum cost in consultation with the Departmental Sales Manager. •Plan and control stock levels held in the store stockrooms. •Work with the Buyers on all appreciation and markdown action. •Ensure that our pricing policy maintains credibility. •Manage, control and supervise the departmental stock take exercise to ensure the accuracy of the result. •To minimize losses and maximize the profitability of the department. •Using all available information, forward plan for seasonal changes in sales and appropriate stock availability. •Ensure maximum efficiency by effective planning of staff resources and implementing administrative practices. •Ensure price changes are administered accurately. •To adhere to legal and company regulations. •To be involved in setting and subsequently achieving, departmental targets and objectives. •To lead and motivate department staff. •To ensure good communication throughout the department and the company. •To ensure that the views and needs of the departments they are responsible for are represented in the store.
