Assistant Manager - Analytics (UAE Nationals) Location: Dubai, UAE Job Purpose Summary Effective and timely traction of portfolio indicators across various retail products. To deliver value added analysis, commentary and recommendations on units’ performance to drive exceptional business performance. Tracing/reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to assess sales & portfolio performance and recommend related strategies. Actively support product and portfolio teams in key strategic initiatives. Main Accountabilities and Approximate Time Split Accountability: Business Analytics / Portfolio Monitoring Time split: 80% ·Tracing/reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to assess sales & portfolio performance and recommend related strategies. ·Handling ad-hoc requirements for analysis of portfolio information are responded to promptly and accurately. ·Regular Deep Dive analysis to be conducted on critical business indicators and to present to product office with recommendation. ·Actively support product and portfolio teams in key strategic initiatives ·Performing in-depth analysis of customer value tests, campaign analyses, response propensity models, bad debt performance, etc Accountability: Governance, Control and Risk Time split: 10% ·Preparation of Analytics and Financials related information submission to central bank on behalf of Retail and Business Banking ·Ensure that adequate data privacy & information security procedures are followed during generation / transmittal of data for internal /external stakeholders ·Support Controls / Compliance Unit in regular monitoring & data mining of compliance related activities. Accountability: Stakeholder Management Time split: 10% ·Develop and maintain key relationships with cross functional teams necessary for job performance. ·Effective management of key stakeholders within the company. Ensure team spirit and culture of shared ownership and collaboration. ·Support the management of relationships with key external stakeholders including Associations, local regulators, other banks, suppliers and local industry bodies Knowledge, Expertise and Experience Essential -Minimum of 2 years experience within similar roles -Excellent numerical & analytical skills will be required to obtain, prepare, assess and assimilate very complex and detailed information -PC Skills: Microsoft Office & Excel, Power Point expertise is a must -Essential to have willingness to learn and to go extra mile in delivering results -Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment Preferred -Good understanding of Retail products/policies/plans/objectives in order to pro-actively embrace systems/procedure changes within the function. -Good knowledge of IT and telephony systems -Ability to work fluently with various data sets used in the company, as well as ability to explore new data sets and sources.
