Assistant Manager Jobs in Unilever, Channel Marketing Posted: 29 Jun 2013 03:08 AM PDT The purpose of the role is to create and implement highly relevant winning solutions to deliver the 2015 ambition of Unilever Food Solutions and to achieve agreed target within budget, through the effective planning and execution of strategies to support overall trade channel. Key Responsibilities Build intimate overall trade channel understanding from real life customer perspective, profit/cost drivers, channel issues, trends – at customer’s level. Identify activation drivers for overall category growth in the overall trade channel. Develop total value propositions that will: (a) Define our growth opportunity in the overall trade channel, customer solutions and product basket, (b) DVP for distributors / partners to drive volume, reach and penetrations, (c) Identify how we should contact the account (as may involve new account acquisition through direct mail, tele business) etc, and (d) measurement of ROI of sales campaigns (trial, repeat, grip and grab). Develop trade marketing strategies consistent with the agreed channel marketing objectives. Translate trade marketing strategies into trade activations and ensure that the plans is effectively communicated and implemented through all relevant touch points in the trade level. Effectively manage and allocate trade budget for each channel and ensure optimize spending for Advertising & Promotion and TTS. Ownership of Perfect Store Perfect Destination Implementation and ensure execution is according to the agreed framework. Provide Channel-level insights to category teams to develop innovation thinking based on identified category drivers. Assist hiring, training, and performance evaluations of promoter and customer’s sales staff and oversee their project / activities. Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services. Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends. Key skills The role will require: Ability to work under pressure for extended period. Handling of a high level of complexity. Knowledge in trade marketing skills and IT. Education BBA, however, MBA preferred. Experience Minimum one year relevant work experience preferably in trade or channel marketing.
