Assistant Manager for Accounts / Administration K. Chellaram and Sons Ltd., Gambia (1 Year Experience) Following are the details of the role for ASSISTANT MANAGER FOR ACCOUNTS / ADMINISTRATION: 1. Receiving cash from sales department 2. Issuing cash against expense vouchers 3. Cost control for phone, electricity and other bills 4. Following up for payments from credit customers 5. Regular Stock taking - management of process with other colleagues and compiling details of discrepancies for senior management (in Excel) 6. Using Quickbooks software (similar to Tally) 7. Supervision of 2 accounts clerks 8. Purchase of foreign currencies 9. Bank statement reconciliations 10. Payroll and tax administration 11. Preparation of trial balances and final accounts 12. Other general finance, asset management and stock-related exercises Characteristics required: Honest, hardworking, quick learner, good English speaker, careful and diligent with numbers. Will be using a program similiar to Tally which we will provide training with. Following are the details of our package: - 2 year renewable contract - Salary totals approx Rs. 4,75,000 per annum (calculated at current exchange rates) - Detailed breakdown of Salary: USD500 per month saving (this is purely savings which you will not have to use at all) plus local salary of approx USD150 (paid in local currency) per month to cover food expenses. - company will pay for your travel from Mumbai to Gambia at the beginning of the 2 year contract and after completion of 2 years, the company will pay for your travel back to Mumbai; during the 2 year contract, there will be no travel to/from Mumbai , India. - Accomodation (fully furnished house and house rent), electricity and water bills covered by company. House is shared with other Indian ex-patriate bachelor managers of company - Transport / Conveyance: company will provide transport to and from work and for any work-related activities -Family cannot travel or stay with candidate during the contract period Excellent expat package. At the end of 2 years, you will go back to India and we will discuss the possibility of renewing your contract based on your performance. The intention is to consider a long-term career with the company. This contract cannot be broken during the 2 years and if the employee tries to break the contract, significant financial penalties will apply; hence only candidates willing to fulfil a 2 year contract need apply.
