Brief Description £14,505 per annum pro rata, Part time (22.5 hours per week), fixed term until 17/01/14 Detailed Description About the role Clumber Park , the perfect place to refresh the body and soul – and an incredible place to work too. But keeping the great outdoors is no small task. In fact, it’s a massive team effort. Working alongside Ranger colleagues, you’ll play a key role in enhancing visitor engagement while maintaining excellent standards of presentation and conservation maintenance. You’ll talk to visitors and supporters about the importance of our work, sharing your passion for nature and the outdoors and making sure that every visitor to Clumber has an unforgettable experience. Joining our hard working and dedicated Ranger team, you’ll make sure that at every twist and turn of this fantastic landscape, we’re delivering outstanding outdoor experiences and excellent conservation work. So whether you’re undertaking practical countryside management tasks or helping us to deepen our relationship with the local community, you’ll find no two days will be the same. In this role, you may also be required to undergo first aid training in order to provide first aid assistance at the property. Regular weekend working is a requirement of this role. Job Requirements About you Whatever the weather, you love being outdoors and you have a real desire to help us raise our profile here at Clumber Park . You’ll have a qualification (or equivalent experience) in countryside management and knowledge of outdoor visitor engagement. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and always ready to share your experiences with visitors, you’ll be a brilliant champion of our work. Experience of working with communities would be an advantage and you’ll have a full driving licence too. If you have a tractor driving licence and chainsaw certificate that’s even better. It’s about more than just going the extra mile but really believing in it.
