Assistant Superintendent for Planning Daniel Schuler is explaining - TopicsExpress

Assistant Superintendent for Planning Daniel Schuler is explaining that the District has received recent information from Cook County that will impact its ability to access all of the funds levied in the tax levy for next year. This limitation is due to the combination of these factors: - School District 21s property values has continued to fall due to declines in property values - The Cook County Multiplier, which impacts the value of property in Cook County for local government, has also further declined - Maximum Tax Rates for School District Funds that are governed by State Law In light of this information, District 21 staff members are working closely with Cook County and the Office of the States Attorney in order to determine a potential course of action that would allow School District 21 to access all of the funds that have been levied for the next school year.
