Associate Director of Business Analysis Telecommute UnitedHealth Group Primary Responsibilities: Lead functional or segment team of data analysts or report developers Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements Work with product and business teams to identify and prioritize analytic or reporting needs Solve complex problems Produce or guide others to produce analyses, data files or reports Sets team direction, resolve problems and provide guidance to team members Coach, provide feedback, and mentor others. Act as a resource to those with less experience Ensure accurate and timely completion of business-critical analytics Review work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement Plan resource requirements Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges Identify solutions to unstructured requests and problems Translate concepts into practice Oversee development of data resources and/or tools to support business objectives Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues Serve as a key resource on critical issues Requirements Required Qualifications: Direct staff management experience or equivalent project leadership 5 or more years of experience SAS, SQL or equivalent programming experience 5 or more years of experience integrating data from large relational databases 3 or more years of experience in analyzing health insurance claims, transactions data, biometric, health assessment, or similar types of clinical, program or employer data Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills Working knowledge of relational databases, database structure Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in business, statistics, health services research, public health, computer science or related field; or equivalent experience 6 or more years of experience in analyzing health care services or program data preferably in a health plan or...
