The Local Townie is free full colour arts, culture and lifestyles magazine. We just published our 21st issue. We represent the areas of Golden, Revelstoke and Invermere BC. In Golden we are the go to monthly guide for events, local art and lifestyle stories and we want to make it the same for Revelstoke and Invermere. Associate Publisher Duties and Qualifications - Wage is mix of base rate and commission - No past experience necessary willing to train and coach - Drive to connect with the community and actively enjoy outdoor adventures - Ability to work self-directed and submit work on time. - Home office computer and internet connection. - Collaborate on marketing and style - Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite - Excellent internet navigation - Seek and advise local writers for local stories and topics - Call upon potential advertisers in the your region -priority task - Make connections and maintain relationships with local community and social organizations eg. chamber of commerce, youth groups, ski clubs, bike clubs etc. - Distribute the magazine monthly Causal Part Time Writers duties and qualifications - A passion to share the good word about many subjects of your choice. - No past experience necessary. - Ability to work self-directed and submit work on time. - Home computer and internet connection.
