Associating anything with Allāh [Subḥānahū Wa Taālā] is called #shirk and is the foremost of the major sins. Luqmān (peace be upon him) in his great wisdom understood the seriousness of this issue because of which the very first advice he gave to his son was: “O my son! Join not in worship others with Allāh. Verily, joining others in #worship with Allāh is a great Zulm (wrong) indeed.” [Qur’ān 31:13] Aqeedah (firm #belief), tawheed and iman are all necessary to stop ourselves and our children from falling into shirk.
