Assurance in the Blood Leviticus 17:11 & 14 (cp. Deuteronomy 12:23) 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’ 14 for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Hebrews 9:22 “Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.” 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Revelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, Exodus 12:13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony …” Hebrews 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 10:19-22 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Mathew26:26-28 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Our communion with the Father is never through our good works, but by the blood of His dear Son. Our approach is never based on our performance. The blood is first for God and when He sees the blood He will Passover. There is a love, joy, peace and life when we approach the Father on His terms, the blood of his dear Son. And through his flesh the veil has been torn and we may now enter the holy of holies with all confidence and assurance knowing that our Father has an unconditional love for us through the eternal sacrifice of His dear Son.
