Astrological Weather Update - The Ebola Virus The north node of the Moon is currently transiting through the natural 6th house of the zodiac, Virgo. The 6th house deals with health concerns which are usually experienced as disease - at least until we learn to clean up our act. The north node exaggerates whatever it influences, creating a shadow for our fears to take hold and become distorted. So how does this play out on a global scale? Well, the Ebola virus is one example. The north nodes transit to Virgo lasts a year a half, having entered the sign in July. The first of the eclipses was experienced last week and Mercurys transit back and forth over the north node increases fears, blowing them out of proportion. This doesnt negate the fact that there is something to fear in some cases. However, it does takes those fears and multiples them tenfold for the population. With Mercury retrograde the situation is compounded by delays in reacting appropriately to the perceived threat. Mercury and the eclipses are creating a lot of confusion which creates a panic. Mercury re-enters Virgo on Thursday and things get ramped up even more as it approaches the north node by October 21st. Its direct motion after October 25th brings it back into contact with the north node again on October 29th. On a personal level you may be experiencing Mercury retrograde and the north node conjunction as too much mental activity. It would be more helpful to take a break from your ruminating and get into your body in whatever way feels appropriate to you.
