Astrology & It Being a Spiritual Science Its been more than 20 - TopicsExpress

Astrology & It Being a Spiritual Science Its been more than 20 years since I have become interested in astrology and probably interacted with more than 10,000 plus or 20,000 astrologers. I often hear that it is a spiritual science etc etc. Indians among these quote that at the start of a conversation sometimes, whereas Foreigners like to believe that it is a spiritual science and they are doing something spiritual in life by doing readings and guiding people. Though in a very small part it is true but I have realised that all this talk in articles and books about it being a spiritual science is only lip service by the writers and conversationalists. Guiding someone of his pending karma is one thing but how many astrologers can really see the pending karma. When we read books like Deva Kerelam (Chandra Kala Nadi) which is available and now back in print in english we realise the astrology we are practicing is useless in what our ancients were practising. For the commercial astrologers of India they are only concerned that their house is run due to their predictions or remedies, for them it is of no concern whether the person whose reading they have done has gone out of their house a changed and better human being, that is the true part of spirituality of astrology but do we care if the person seeking our readings is a businessman or high profile politician who you are only guiding when his best time will come so that he can fleece more blood out of the common man. One reading from an astrologer should shake the soul of the person that for years he is in that daze and trance and realises the Who Am I but that reading can it ever be achieved by our community now. Spirituality is a very different ball game i have realised and like Mata Amritanandi Mayi said Spirituality starts where religion ends. Astrologers tend to mix religion and spirituality and they are no different than the ordinary person who does the same. In LBOA, (a book that i prefer not to discuss due to the numerous repitition that i have to do about it and readers can read the guest book column in the site or magazine for details on it) the yogi says The Greatest Act an Astrologer can do is when he gives up the horoscope - it has multiple meanings and he explains it in depth, one of them to give up astrology forever when his journey has ended. Only B V Raman and mother of K N Rao could do it in their last 5 years of life, is what is written, i do not know of anyone else who has done it and there would have been many who did it. How To Identify The Non- Spirituality of an Astrologer Whenever i meet a person in astrology, the first thing he rattles off is his predictive ability or high end clientele or the number of students he has or the amount of researches he has done, and i know i am talking to a person who is using astrology to serve his own self and not to serve astrology as a servant. From LBOA, when you become a great predictor but still do not predict and have given up on predictions you have reached one of the final stages of astrology. You have bowed down to the will of the Universe as the Universe decided for you. The above post is not so easy to understand since i am not a very good communicator Rajat BoseRavishankar Devangan
