Astronaut Neil Armstrong would have been 84 years old today. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and later became the first human to step foot on the moon, putting America ahead in the 1960s “Space Race” between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex honors Neil Armstrong and the Apollo 11 mission at both the Apollo/Saturn V Center and the Astronaut Hall of Fame, which holds Apollo treasures including original Apollo 11 patches.
