Astronomers have discovered the largest known structure in the universe - a group of active quasars so large, it challenges Albert Einsteins cosmological principle. The newfound Large Quasar Group, spotted in data gathered by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, is made up of 73 quasars and spans approximately 1.6 billion light years in most directions. At its widest point, it is 4 billion light years across. To put this into perspective, our galaxy is 100,000 light years across. More information: bit.ly/13oYd9p Research paper: bit.ly/W0pGIg
